Poverty
+ Pilot Shortage = Opportunity
Poverty: 500
million Indians are at or below the poverty level.
Pilot
Shortage & Imbalance: A global pilot shortage*
is coming that will cripple the industry and society worldwide,
including General Aviation and Flight Training. Yet, India
currently has the largest Airbus aircraft order in
history*.
Opportunity:
Ravi has an innovative solution to both of these problems,
and the unique ability to execute it. To learn more, email

Why
India?
India
is the world's largest democracy and English
is the de facto national languagetwo major advantages
over most other emerging markets. Today there are over
300 million people (another USA) and growing with disposable
income. India's total population is estimated to overtake
China by 2030*.
Why
Ravi?
Many aviation companies attempting to do business in India
confront the same challenge: a complex political and business
environment, identifying the talent pool, and frequent
communication breakdowns. This is usually due to a cultural
disconnect that requires familiarity and sensitivity.
As an expert and speaker on the shrinking pilot population
and creating a new generation of aviators, a partner in
the Shanti Bhavan Children's Project*, a member
of India's political family*, and with a prestigious
advisory board**, Ravi is uniquely qualified
to spearhead such a global initiative. Having been a member
of what was the top-selling band in the world offers added
leverage that comes with a degree of fame and success,
experience in the public eye, and a unique ability to
relate to pilots of which 50% play a musical instrument.

Detail on the Need for General Aviation in India
Ravi's efforts to eradicate poverty and develop a human
infrastructure to support the growing economy is ultimately
challenged by a lack of civil infrastructure. As the abilities
of the poor mature, so do their needs. Moreover, in order
to integrate the poor into society and capitalize on their
progress, India must connect villages to economic centers.
A
highway system simply cannot be built quickly enough to
support the expanding economy, but opening the skies to
General Aviation enables humanitarian supplies to reach
the farthest villages, and the most rural areas to contribute
to and benefit from economic centers. Today, with point-to-point
navigation (GPS), it is easier than ever to accomplish
this through aviation. Similar to how cell phone technology
quickly enabled communication compared to building a landline
system, air strips would connect the country without stunting
progress due to time intensive construction of highways.
