Say Again?
A Musician's Insight into Pilot Hearing Loss

Ravi has performed on stages at volumes that rival those of a jet engine. Yet, throughout his experience as a musician and pilot, he has encountered more hearing impaired pilots than rock and roll guitarists! In this educational yet entertaining session, Ravi explains the differences and similarities of his two passions, the important role that hearing plays, and what measures he takes to preserve this sense vital to both activities. Using real life and sometimes comical examples, he exposes the troubling research on pilot hearing loss as well as the state-of-the-art technology available to prevent it. Ravi also offers simple measures one can take everyday in order to preserve safety in the cockpit and overall quality of life as it relates to hearing, as well as offer a hands-on demo of the latest equipment and technology.
