Ravi To Represent Greg Bennett Guitars
Renowned
guitarist and The Retailer columnist Ravi is the new national clinician
for Greg Bennett electric guitars, SMC announced at a press conference during
Winter NAMM in Anaheim.
"We approached Ravi because we wanted someone who knows guitars, plays guitars, and can intelligently and eloquently speak about guitars. The combination of his abilities as a professional performer, writer, and speaker makes him uniquely qualified," said Bill Traylor, vice president of marketing.
Ravi will conduct clinics throughout the year. His multidimensional clinics use the practical application of making music to demonstrate the guitars' many attributes. This includes using home recording tools and techniques to discover the potential of layering guitar tones.
"Ravi's obvious talent as a musician and skills as a communicator make him perfectly suited to achieving SMC's marketing goals," said Greg Bennett. "More importantly to me, however, is Ravi's deep empathy with traditional music dealers and the challenges they face. SMC, as well as the guitar industry, is fortunate to have Ravi encouraging young players to 'live the dream' with integrity."
"I pride myself in playing some of the finest and most expensive instruments in the marketplace, and Greg Bennett guitars have not only impressed me but won me over in recognizing that fine quality instruments can be available at very affordable prices," said Ravi, who kicked off the partnership at NAMM by meeting with dealers and conducting product demos and showcase clinics. "I look forward to inspiring guitarists and dealers to recognize the value, and I look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Greg Bennett and SMC."
